Wednesday, November 6 | 11:30-1:30 pm | Seawolf Plaza

November 8th is National First-Generation College Celebration Day, marking the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Join us in celebrating Sonoma State University’s  first-generation students, faculty, and staff!

This year also marks November 8th as “California’s First-Generation College Celebration Day,” recognizing the significant role of first-generation college students in developing the state’s future workforce, celebrating the federal Higher Education Act of 1965, and supporting first-generation college students with opportunities and equity in completing their desired degree programs.

Stop by and take a picture in our photobooth, grab a snack, pick up some first-gen swag and celebrate Sonoma State's first-gen community!
